​Alagados Reservoir

In 1940, the damming of the Pitangui River created a large artificial lake, popularly known as Alagados. The reservoir is responsible for supplying water to the city. Located 20 km from the city center, in addition to its importance as a water source for the city, this site is a recreational destination that offers opportunities to connect with nature, as it is an environmental preservation area.

At Alagados, visitors can enjoy activities such as fishing, swimming, rowing, and windsurfing. The Ponta Grossa Yacht Club is located here. The access road winds through rural areas, offering views of stunning landscapes.

To get there, take the Arichernes Gobbo Highway (turn left after passing under the overpass over the ALL yard, heading toward the Dal Col residential area). After traveling 2 km, turn right, passing under a railroad overpass. Continue straight for another 9 km and turn left at a fork in the road. Travel another 4 km to reach the Alagados Dam.
